There is a place where the voices and the pipes meet, somewhere near the top of the room. It is not here. You can never hear it where you are standing. This movement by Maurice Durufle reminds us of the bigness of devotional, religious music. The writers and performers sense and react to the gravity of the message, and the largeness of the room.
