Since the late 90’s, producer and keyboard/vocalist Tomas Laverty has played with Ignorant Mob, múnbút, bolabit, and his solo projects. With a background in funk, fusion, reggae and Latin rhythm, Laverty has acted as a hired gun for countless groups locally and regionally and has produced and recorded numerous albums. His music has been featured on compilations with Manu Chao and Ojos de Brujo.

The latest incarnation of the Tomas Laverty Group features Detroit locals including guitarist Ryan Gimpert of Will Sessions.
