PHOTO 35mm: Detroit Casino Rooftop (PLUS FAIL JAIL)

I put film in the cameras, added a monopod, grabbed a pack of smokes. Went to the casinos. Drove up the spiral, and drove up the ramp. There’s not much up there on a cool, windy Tuesday afternoon in March. Good thing for it.

What a pretty sky to shoot pictures of. There are also interesting landmarks, such as the Fail Jail, and the awkward agri-industrial spaces surrounding various properties. No one knows what to do yet. Well, that’s not entirely true. Some are capable and active with message. Still, it’s a stirred place, now.

All I care to do is talk to folks and take pictures.
